I read on the Big Knives Comparison thread some users had problems w their 1111 delivering a lot of shock to their hands and being uncomfortable when they used it for long periods of time. They said the 911 and 1311 didn't do the same.
Any 1111 users have similar problems? I have one coming and wanted to know before it arrived and I started banging on it.
Thanks and happy Thanksgiving everyone.

Got a 911 and 1311 They are fine chopping. The 911 can be hard when batoning but that's kinda self explanatory.

I had never experienced any shock until a couple weeks ago when the Stepson and I did some tree surgery. I was chopping about a three inch branch and about had the handle come out of my hand from the shock. Well it happened again and I started watching closely what I was doing. What happened in MY case is that the knife hit the cut then slammed sideways, and THAT is what caused the shock.
Just though it might be helpful.

I have done some chopping with an 1111. Not a lot, just some, and i didn't experience any problems with shock...

Thanks to everyone. AB - you would probably have teh same problem with the 911 and 1311, then, right? or do you think you only have that issue with the 1111? SH - do you think what happened was from the angle you struck from, or from reverberation from the handle? All feedback is appreciated.

I have a 911 and it feels a lot better for me. It does def have less vibration then the 1111. The regulators are my prefered blades and i edc one 24/7 so im use to it. It just feels to me like the basic handles are to thin. If you use a size large or bigger glove then i think you are not gonna be happy with the basic handles

I'd love a big chopper with a regulator handle.

I really like my 1311 for chopping I do not feel any shock, however as others have said I find the handle too small

Yep. I agree slightly larger handle would be good and I only wear a medium or large glove.
