Anybody know the best way to remove the res c handles? I'm thinking of playing around with hemp cord wrapping a couple SYKCO's. Probably a 511, maybe a War Dog Hack or Mud Mutt?

Idk. Maybe cut off the handle or drill out the fastener?

The issue is going to be the size of the tang.

I have read that all you need to do is drill out the tubing w/ 1/4" drill bit, then slide off handle. I read a lot of things online that may or may not be true, so I am hoping to get some confirmation on this.
I do not believe the size of the tang will be much issue as I can wrap as many layers as needed and I don't have very large hands anyways. Maybe it doesn't work so well, but I will likely end up trying anyways.

The issue I see is how will that many layers hold up to the task without slipping?

Man, was it 2010 When JJ did that Bayo mod? Holy Jeez!
I've seen a few dogs around here bend the pin back down to size and worked out, then they were able to re-use it when they reinstalled the handle.
The tangs on Dan's blades are actually pretty skinny IIRC, it's going to take an awful lot of dummy cord to wrap the handle from the bare tang. You could use a wood filler like JJ did on his Bayo mod to make up the difference though.
