BCM does pencil barrels but not A2 uppers. Guess Randy has bragging rights here.

Here is your upper.

Nice, what a score GD! Lucky Dog! Once you outfit your rifle with your optic of choice, mind asking for me how much he'd be willing to part with that ACOG for?

I have a 5.56 AK that is screaming for a magnification upgrade, and I can switch my Vortex over to my M14 as an offset to compliment her 4-16x laugh

Honestly I doubt he wants to sell it. He has had it for a long time. It's actually got a rattle can tan finish. This guy really has enough funds he can do what he wants when he wants. Lol his range ammo is hornady 75grain BTHP match ammo lol.
And I'm shooting ball lol. Wish I could help ya but if it was cheap enough I'd grab it. But I don't think it's going to be for sale.

I hope not. I don't know that I could assemble an upper, but I did find that Rock River uppers can be ordered like I want, but it takes a little patience.

Man the upper build was soooo much easier than I imagined it would be.

Any special tools required? I wouldn't be opposed to building my own, but I don't want to buy a bunch of stuff just to do it once.

Some Chamber Go/No go gauges, an AR 15 combination wrench of sorts, and... that's about it. Most AR components nowadays are CNC machined and are all so close to the proper specs that you could, in theory, slap an AR together, tighten everything down, and go fire it safely. I would personally gauge it before shooting though, because one out of spec chamber and you've got yourself a grenade, not a rifle.

Tools were as listed. Punches, brass hammer, torque wrench. Smith enteprises armorers wrench, Allen wrenches for the rail and gas block I used, you need a way to mount the upper in a vice I used a reaction rod. That's about it.
