That's what I was thinking. We should never have to ask for pics.

Got a couple pics but haven't be able to get them uploaded yet. As it is now it is about 30 inches long overall and weighs 5.75 pounds.

The man has a bad attitude...kids, stay off his lawn!! wink smile

I love the size of it. A few mags of quality 9mm hollow points and that will wreck anyone's day quick I think.

Looking good Randy!

I'm trying to locate the article I remember reading that explained why photons do weird things like that (I think the overall concept was on why the lunar eclipse appears to kiss it's shadow just before the complete eclipse begins or something like that). Anyway, possible reasons why may be astigmatism and the fact that you're focusing through a tiiiiny aperture. I noticed I had the same issue with the FS2000 rear sight, and that aperture was so small I could barely see the front post. My M14 I don't have that issue with, and same goes for my issue M4, so perhaps having a smithy drill out the aperture for a slightly larger one may resolve your issue. I'll do more research and see if I can find out why exactly that actually happens smile

*edit* seems you figured out how to resolve it yourself, lol. Still, might be cool to know why that actually happens, will keep looking wink

I dig it Randy, glad you pulled the trigger on it. The pistol caliber carbines I've had the pleasure of shooting are great. Recoil is so negligible it's sorta hilarious how easy they are to control, especially if you choke up on them.

ECF, I do have an astigmatism which might be part of the problem. I also think that drilling it out larger would help and actually thought about that. I'll make my final determination once I've actually shot it some. My "Stock Crawler" fix might get the job done. Oh and Patty was sorta kinda impressed with it.

NOW all I gotta do is finally figure out what kind of optics to put on it. I am leaning toward two. The Vortex SPARC II or the spitfire for it's etched reticule that can been seen even if the battery fails, as long as there is sufficient light on the target.

Well I'm getting there. CX4 "Wish List"

1. Side rail ------ ordered
2. Stock spacers -- ordered
3. 20 round mags -- ordered (2 so far)
4. Ammo ----------- on hand (800 rounds of mixed)still researching actual "carry" ammo, but I think I have settled on 124gr +P.
5. Optics --------- still researching.
6. White light ---- Still researching.

I've decided that I am going to skip the vertical fore grip. It would just add to much bulk for my likes.

Man, and I thought Christmas toys for the Grand Kids were
expensive! wink

I think that I have settled on the Streamlight TLR 1 HL.

You're well on your way, Randy! It usually takes me several months to get a firearm set up.

Well, after doing some reading on some other forums, it looks like I can order a Rock Island wide body frame direct from them.
