The other Picatinny side rail and the stock spacers are due to arrive today. I'll be glad to get the other side rail on and I am just going to add one spacer and see how it feels.

Still haven't decided on whether I should get a red dot reflex sight or a red dot scope type sight. Decisions decisions. I think that I have decided on the VORTEX line though. Research I've done shows them to be quite rugged and well built, they are affordable, plus they have a Busse Warranty!

Vortex seems to making some good products. I only have the older discontinued 2-7 scope but I am really happy with it. So much I think it will stay on my SCAR. When looking for options for a red dot for my M&P I noticed they make a nice little sight and even use the M&P in their advertisements.

I also have always intended to snag a Strikefire to play with but just never picked one up.

Hey lazi, yeah I am bouncing back and forth between one of the Reflex sights and the Spitfire. I like the Reflex sights for the looks ease of use and the Spitfire for the etched reticle that allows it to bee seen if you have enough ambient light.

OK, Weapons lights.

I had pretty much settled on the TLR1-HL as the light I was gonna mount on the CX4 Storm. BUT tonight a deputy offered me a NIB TLR-1HPL for $85.00! http://www.streamlight.com/en-us/pr...mp;_ga=1.149409270.1908703571.1428646242

What's a Dog to do.

The TRL-1HL This one would cost me $125.00

The $85 one looks kinda big. And would you really need the greater light output?

Ray, yes the HPL is bigger, but it is also 40 dollars cheaper and it's BRAND NEW! It now resides on the left side rail. It allowes me to do the momentary and constant on and strobe with my thumb.

NO, it's not the one I wanted, but like I said at 40 less I can deal with it. And boy does it throw a long beam! Not real sure about the side spill light yet, haven't had a chance to use it in a black out situation, but I might turn off the lights in the office and see what happens.

OK, let's see:

1. Side rail ------ two installed
2. Stock spacers -- not installed and not really needed.
3. 2 20 round mags -- ON HAND! (2 twenties and 2 seventeens)
4. White light ---- Streamlight TLR1s HPL--- Installed
5. Ammo ----------- on hand (800 rounds of mixed)still researching actual "carry" ammo, but I think I have settled on 124gr +P. Right now have corbon 124gr +P loaded in the mags.
5. Optics --------- still researching.

Well kiss my patootie! The light I got from the deputy is a TLR-1s HP NOT the HPL! No wonder it didn't seem to have the side spill I expected. He's getting it back. mad

I hope the new release comes soon. The play money I set aside for the ZT 0452 is burning a hole in my pocket. I started eyeballing revolvers this weekend thinking I need one also!

Saw a review of the Ruger LCRx 3" that caught my eye then started thinking of looking for an old Dan Wesson 4" in 357.

I have the strikefire on my home defense shotgun and it works flawlessly. It has been on my AR for about 3 years and on that one for almost a year now with plenty of rounds through both.
