I'm just going to swing back thru here in 2016 to check on page 903 of this thread....to find out there still aren't any knives for sale.
In the mean time I'm going to spend the money that would go here on ammo for my new LWRC M6IC...

I've thought about the assegai spear for a long time.
OK I guess. Plugging along. You take the Storm out to the range as yet Randy? That gun looks like too much fun! I think we first started talking about the boar and assegai spears about 50 pages back or so.... I hope this announcement doesn't have a birthday before we hear something.

RN, Skunk I got one of the MAA European Spears. It came dull as butter. I put and edge on it and worked on the tip.
I would not want to be on the business end of this thing. Very Strong tip and healthy blade. I can understand why spears have been a part of warfare for so long. I just looked this up. Didn't realize Cold Steel made this spear. What made you choose this one over the assegai and boar that they offer? I'm thinking to pick up the boar but don't have any first hand experience with these.

I have an assegai, and it is one deadly weapon! I touched up the edge so that it could be used as a knife if the shaft got broken; it would serve the purpose well.

Warder. This is a fully enclosed spear. It isn't a one side spear.
It is actually a very solid spear. The price I paid was substantially cheaper than most places sell them for. About 40 to 50 dollars under MSRP.
I have been hearing about the MAA lineup even though Cold Steel doesn't really tout them much and I found out about them in a round about way.
They make several styles of spears in this line including a boar spear.
That's the main reason I went with this as opposed to the boar spear or assagi. It's a tank of a spear.

This is all part of the "fun" that Dan said was missing from the last business model ...plus you can always corner him at blade to find whats up. Also I hope there isn't some great Yard stuff at Blade that we only get to read about and is never available to the faithful Dogs that can't make it MM  also if you post pics of you Blade experience that would be cool
