Sooo...to recap:

1) 1/4" thick 1095 steel with a Rockwell hardness of 58-60

2) Nine inches in length

3) A version of something we've seen that was a great seller in many forms. I'd suggest that it might also have been released originally as a six inch blade ( see hint 2 where he says its "better" than six, suggesting a larger 9" version of a popular 6" blade. I'm thinking a 9" version of the 6" profile Regulator, or perhaps a 9" version of the SS6, considering those are the only two 6" blades the Yard has put out.).

4) Big handle...Instrument of Leadership....

I'm going with 9" Regulator, 1/4" thick 1095 steel and a 58+60 hardness.

Yes please. Thank you Dan! full flat grind with Bama Clay and green handle!

No shine = combat grade, and 3/4 less the price I'm guessing.

I keep thinking that, "Sizable hold for the instrument of leadership" means a military sabre or sword like Marine officers have.

Hmm... No shine for 3/4 less...
If referring to length, then a shiny LE is 3/4" longer... or not shiny CG is 3/4" shorter.

If referring to price, well, not sure how that even works out, maybe $75 less for a CG than an LE?

Perhaps, 3 out of every 4 produced will be coated and therefore cost less?

Apparently I should not be doing this sober. laugh
