LAZI. I have the S&W three inch, 5 shot "FBI" .357 in Stainless steel. It's a dream to carry, but it's a little stout with full power loads, but not anything that can't be handled.

I made a couple of online purchases. Pretty easy... I don't think you have much to worry about. And most don't mind a call or two two..

I was thinking of a 686 plus or 627 but they are on the large side. I traded off a EAA Windicator off a while back and I liked it but the quality wasn't quite what I wanted. I felt it was only slightly heavy compared to some others I carry. I can give up the extra rounds for a less bulky quality stainless 3" five shooter. Then I could see myself still adding a Coonan to the line up at some point if I wanted a longer barrel and higher capacity.

Yeah I wish it was a six shot, but still, five is better than none!

How's this lazi? I love the "Nothing Left to Envy" slogan.

Yup, that is pretty sweet!

I really like the looks of a full dust cover 1911. I'm just not a "1911 guy". The Coonan and maybe one of the Rock Island models with the full dust cover are the only amongst a handful that have really made me want one. None of the fancy high end stuff even gets my attention. I don't even look twice at them when I'm shopping. But I'm also not much of a .45 acp fan so the Coonan just managed to ding all the right bells for me.

If they were widely available and under $1K I think I'd have one by now. But over $1K and having to order one and wait monthes (not sure about now) I just never could get there.

I want to add another wheel gun to my collection but if I stumble across the means to get a Coonan I think I would do it.

Just by chance my local shop had this in the used case for a couple of weeks. After doing some research and watching countless videos I went back to see if they still had it and fortunately it was still there. I'll let you know how it shoots after I go to the range tomorrow morning.

Picked up my Ruger MKIII hunter! What a nice gun! What a pain to take apart if you have never done it before... My only complaint is the parts weren't deburred so I had to take a diamond stone and clean it up.
I also have a Stoeger M3K 3 gun edition coming to me for compitition.
