May be worth a shot (pun intended grin )

I've got a nice .17 cal, but wouldn't mind adding a fast 22 to the mix. Squirrels can sometimes take a while to die with the .17, and I've had 2 rabbits get away after being hit. A 22 seems like it might put them down with a bit more authority....AND be easier to clean grin

I think I forgot to mention...

Thursday night I ran about 90 rounds of Wolf through my LWRC confirming the CompM4S zero, and about 75 rounds through my Glock 19. Spent the rest of the time plinking with my friend's Winchester 74 in 22 Short. What a fun rifle....it had less recoil than an air rifle.

Friday at lunch I ran 45 rounds of PPU 180gr HP and 12 rounds of 175gr Winchester STHP through my G20SF. The STHP hit steel gongs with authority out to 100 yards. The PPU felt lighter than 40SW (but the G20 is a heavy gun so it absorbs some recoil).

All trouble free, of course.

Oh yeah, on Friday the guy I was shooting with brought his integrally suppressed (Class 3 / Form 4) Ruger 77/44. I probably shot 25-30 rounds of 44 Mag through it. He hand loaded the rounds to run around 990fps. Those 240gr hand cast bullets smacked the gongs pretty well. The rifle is nose-heavy owning to the suppressor set up. He has a 1-4x Leupold Shotgun scope on it. In heavy wind / rain it was a little difficult to hold on a 4" gong at distance as the wind would push the rifle's rather enormous barrel/suppressor.

It was neat....been a while since I fired a suppressed weapon.

Just stumbled across the Uloop by Blue Force Gear.

I may have to order a few and a couple slings. I had forgotten about their AK sling.

I would like to have a .22 pellet rifle, but so far my Diana .177 has done well for me.

My Ruger shoots at 1,000 f.p.s., and I'm happy with it.
