Awaiting some owner to approve me?! That would be me. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> I set it up to where membership has to be approved to keep the random spammers out. You’re in, I just approved you.

Let’s make this real simple...no selling products on this forum.
To be honest I do not appreciate the approach that goes something like this..." I just got a great knife and I only paid $20 dollars for it at xyz site". This is an insult to the Yards intelligence. If you want to show the rest of the Dogs your recent scores and purchases, that's cool because that is above board. Including price and location to buy is cheesy and un-acceptable.
There are plenty of sites for selling knives and stuff. I do not support PM'ing people to solicit business of any kind. We have a very unique forum with the Dogs being a close-knit family.
Just so that you know, I get several request per week from people who want to sell or communicate Amway, Pharmaceuticals, Oil Treatment, Hair Growth as well as deliever Religious messages because the Dog would benefit from it...not going to happen.
Therefore, I would ask you and the rest of the Dogs to respect what we have built here and work any business over at the other sites.
Thanks for understanding Dan [/quote]
i respect that & hope others do as well.
id hate to see this site go down the drain because someone wanted to save $20 on a knife.
its not worth it to me

Dan's answers sound like his knives, simple, effective. The world needs more of that and the Dogs on the forum seem to appreciate it. I know I do. I am in the same boat as Andy, after having a Scrapyard knife I realized just how many cheap expensive knives I had. I will put them in a shoe box or something but Murphy's law, if you have a knife and your life depends on it, make sure its not a pretender.
I truley enjoy this forum, I answer some, post a few, read alot. After a day at the office this is like sitting around with friends I no longer see.

Well, now that I created that group, there’s another outlet for that kind of stuff. And best of all, it’s FREE! Unlike BF or eBay which costs money to sell something. We have several members so far if anyone else wants to join us. If you set it up to email you the posts, you don’t have to keep checking a website and worrying if you missed something. All you have to do is check your email.

good points mr mosh, by the way, your turn to buy the rounds tonight! I would if I could, a couple of weeks ago I put a six pack away before I realized it, just typing on the forum. Unfortunatley 99% of the people I am in contact with daily just don't get why anyone would want to have a little self sufficiency or own anything other then a safety razor and a supersoaker.
