Well late morning anyway. It's nice and sunny and temp will be decent for spring. I'm debating the finer points of going to a nursery to buy an apple tree.

I'm being picky about what I want though. I only want one. So it needs to be self pollinating, grow in this cold climate and be a dwarf or semi dwarf variety. By the time most trees produce we will be empty nesters and won't use more than one tree will provide.

I have found several prospects online but for whatever reason they won't ship those specific trees to my state.

The plant nurseries are pretty careful as to where they ship their products. They probably figure that apple trees won't grow well in your area.

Good morning Ray and the rest of the Yard. My DB-322 should arrive today.......... WOO-HOO !

Boy did it rain yesterday afternoon and evening. Wind blew a rotten about 30 ft Limb over onto a neighbors house. Fortunately don’t think it did too much damage.

Apples are one of the few things that grow really well here. That and potatoes . This state is pretty strict with agricultural stuff. I'm betting its pollen doesn't do well with a cash crop or it uses too much water etc.
