The one I have looks to be the same material. It works but sometimes it comes about half out of my pocket. That may be because it is used though. But this new WTP holster for my LCP uses silicone for the “tacky” part. So far so good. We’ll see what happens once it gets broke in. I figure a week should be sufficient.

Well it turns out I have a pocket holster that will fit my LC9 with the crimson Trace Laser that follows the contours of the trigger guard. I think I’ll set it up for carry as well, especially for the winter. After checking my “stash” I only have two magazines for the LC9. Don’t know how that happened, so it would appear I need to get at least two more. I’m looking at the 9 rounders as the longer length won’t matter on spare mags. So far the “most economical” I’ve found runs 32 bucks each. cry wink Oh well such is the cost of safety, and I AM gonna stick with OEM mags grin but eventually I’ll have 4 of them. I just like having at least 6 mags for each my guns.

Well it appears if the ole skunk stash may be a changin, maybe.

I have a Colt Gunsite pistol (they call it a CCO). It is an officers frame with a Colt series 70 slide/action commander length, with specific modifications requested by Gunsite Academy and built for them by Colt. There’s 100 of them. Yeah it is sweet.

Well a friend of mine is jonesin for it real bad. AND, it appears, he has a MKE AP5-P he bought to save wear and tear on his HK SP5K PDW. I finally saw, touched and just generally fondled/drooled all over this thing today at a gun shop. It’s a lot smaller than my CZ Scorpion Evo S2 which is a gun I love. BUT the AP5, being a lot smaller I could actually carry in my Maxpedition Malaga WITH few spare mags! Talk about sweet. Heck, it would almost fit in my 511 Push pack or the Maxped Jumbo.

Still not sure we’re gonna seal the deal or not (momma doesn’t like me getting rid of guns I already have) but I don’t want to spend another couple grand on a gun I WILL USE/SHOOT, Vs one I won’t even carry any more, when I could just trade. We shall see what the future brings, or not. wink

To be fair I would have to put some rounds through the AP5-P before you commit.. I have heard they had some quality control issues and were more problematic than the AP% was. Main FTF and FTE issues using decent quality fmj ammo,

Fun little guns though. I loved shooting the MP-5

Thanks MB. I’ve read that but (I think) it has been resolved. Also just heard about the MAC5. BUT IF I am reading correctly, the MAC5 is a little more problematic and not quite as high quality as the AP5P. but then again I may be all wrong. More research to do I must. wink

After decades of shooting, I finally purchased a pistol light for the first time. Now I can use the pistol at night with two hands instead of holding it in one hand and my 3 cell Maglite in the other.

I used to rely on my S&W snub nose .44 magnum at night. The short barrel would really light up the room. Also saved money by not needing flash bangs.

Uh yeah, I can see your point about the short 44. But I think I’ll stick with my low tech weapons mounted lights. That way I don’t have to look for my ear plugs before the flash bangs go off.

My father in law recently got put into an assisted living home. He told me to go get his pistols and take them home with me. His will states that I get them when he passes so he wanted them to be safe.
In the box of pistols is, among other things, a brand new 1978 Colt Python. Never fired. A new Belgian Browning Hi Power, also never fired. About a half dozen Colt Woodsman and Hi Standard pistols, including one Hi Standard Military still in cosmoline. A Colt Diamondback 22, looks new. And a bunch of others. I’m literally speechless. Just spitballing I’d say there is $10k worth of guns in that tote. I’ll post some pictures when I get a chance to take some.
