I was in Walmart a month or so ago and noticed a new flashlight I thought looked interesting, so I bought it. I thought I’d give you guys a review of it. What first got my attention about this light was that it was a 1xAAA like my Dorcy, but half the price! It is a little longer than the Dorcy, but I like the switch better. I kept having problems with the Dorcy light getting switched on in my pocket and not knowing it. Then when I’d go to use it, it’d be dead. The one thing I don’t like about the Rayovac switch though is that it’s somewhat loud when you click it.
The light was available in three colors, blue, silver, and orange. It’s not super bright, (it is a 1xAAA after all) but it’s bright enough to see where you’re feet are in the dark so you don’t trip over something. I wanted to buy it as a low-level light supplement to my 2xAA 3 watt LED Maglite. Sometimes a super bright light is too bright, like sometimes if I want to read after dark while in a vehicle without blinding the driver with my 3 watt light. If you’re careful, you can balance it behind your ear like a pen for hands free reading. The grippy rubber helps to hold it in place if you balance it right.
After I tried it, I liked it so much I bought a couple more. One I gave to my Mom to keep in her purse, and the other I kept for carrying in my PJ pocket to find my way around the house at night without stepping on a cat.
I’m not sure how long the battery lasts, because it’s not run out yet! I’ve used it daily for weeks at night, and it’s still running fine. It came with the battery, so it was really a great price for only $3! They’re cheap enough to stash all over, BOBs, cars, pockets, etc.
I took some pics of it last night for you guys, so here’s the pics:
Here are my two lights side by side. I accidently bent the clip on the bottom one, new they look like the top one.

Here’s with some familiar items for scale.

Here’s with some of my other smaller LED flashlights. L to R are: Inova, both Rayovacs, Dorcy 1xAAA, and Dorcy 1xAA.

Here is a pic of them taken apart. After you take both ends off, the middle part it just a hollow aluminum tube threaded on both ends.

Here’s a pic I took in the dark so you could see the brightness. The distance is about 2-3 feet. On the left and right is the light from the Rayovacs, and in the middle is the light from my keychain Innova. The Innova is a more even light field, but I like the fact that the Rayovac lights use a AAA which is cheaper and easier to find and replace.
