CongRats! I actually tested one of those to destruction a while back, and it was insanely tough, only succumbing to metal fatigue after pounding it into steel plates with sledge hammers.

the RIP is awesome, but it is only the second coolest and most badass Ice Pick. . . . I have pics somewhere of #1.

Cool Ice pick! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

I've always wondered about those. Never seen one in person though... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

Would be an interesting one to make pants for... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />

I've got two of those. I really haven't used em much yet. I've thought about modifying them to be something like a Hoffman Harpoon. However, I've never gotten around to it yet.

Grabbed one myself. I have actually used it as an ice pick. If you were to mod it as a harpoon, would you just sharpen the RIP to a point?

No, I need to modify it such a way that it would stay in once you speared you prey, much like the barbs on a fish hook.

I keep mine on my fridge with magnets. I use it all the time on ice. When it freezes and sticks together, I use the pick to bust it up. But, there is another…

Nuclear Ice Pick

Nuclear Ice Pick Specs:

* 1/4" INFI Steel * 4" Spike * 58-60 RC *
* Limited edition introduced in June 2004 *
