32 here with wet snow and sleet falling all day.

30 is shorts weather! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

There is a chance our cold snap will end soon.

end? as in back to the normal -30s?!

that would be nice! An occasional spike to 5f isn't unheard of for a day or two.

ColdOne, I gotta ask, what keeps you in those parts?

It gets cold and snowy here too, but from what you've posted recently I'm left shaking my head as to why anyone would settle there. Just seems sort of suicidal, or at least a heck of a lot more challenging than I can imagine.

I could think of one reason... seclusion!!!

Civilization is over rated! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

I spent years in Ottawa & Toronto.

I came up here for a visit and was hooked. Air is crisp and clear, you can get away from the city and enjoy nature.

The price is at times a harsh winter. Spring always shows up though. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" />

boy will you be sore when the world ends a day before spring.

If it ends in a fireball, at least I will still be cool. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cool.gif" alt="" />

always a silver lining. infi lining?

I just got two new knives today. I got two Bark Rivers, the 1855 Bowie and the Bay de Noc Camp Knife. I got the coffin handled bowie with the desert ironwood burl handle. It's beautiful and feels great in my hand.

Bowie specs are:
Overall Length: 12 Inches Blade Length: 7 Inches Blade Steel: 154CM @ 58rc Blade Thickness: .225 Inches Blade Height: 1.5 Inches Weight:10.5 Ounces Balance is on the Ricasso.

The BdN is a big knife, but scary fast. It balances about an inch in front of the guard and doesn't have that chopper feel. It has a slicer feel.

Bay de Noc specs:
Specs: Overall Length: 14.775 Inch Blade Length:9.5 Inches Blade Steel: A-2 @ 58rc Blade Thickness: .187 Inch Weight: 10.5 Ounces

I'll try to get some pics up next week when I have time.
