Here's what happens when you leave 5 gallons of water out on a cold night in New England.

Very pretty, isn't it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> I tried taking a picture of the inside but it didn't really come out: all the edges/angles you see from the outside are spikes of ice that were growing out into the water.

In other news, putting up snow fence when it's 20F and windy, with bare hands, pliers, and cold wire... is not fun.

Today at mt Gun Club we just had our AGM....one of the members who was lying first in our National Championships in F/TR managed to "snatch defeat from the jaws of victory" at the European Championships at Bisley and dropped to second place for the end of the year....they presented him with a crate of bottled beer for coming second...."Fox's Nob"....when he opened the wrapping and showed the bottle...the look on his face....I was crying with laughing....!!!

That's pretty funny. I'm not sure what he expected a crate of:

While I no longer drink a lot, I'm quite fond of rye beers. The ones I've tried have the kind of hoppy/yeasty flavor that I associate with home brews.

The same place where I last found rye beer (Red's Rye from Founders Brewing Company) was also able to order a bottle of "Pig's Nose" Scotch for me. I'm not much of a hard liquor drinker, but the Busse Combat folks make much of their Scotch and "Pig's Nose" sounded interesting to me. It's taken about a year of on-and-off searching to find it so I ordered a bottle. It's a blended Scotch, but not particularly cheap at $38 + tax, though certainly priced below JW Blue.

Here's a link to information about the Theobroma that Shaolin posted about. It appears to have been a very limited release.

If you can get some Bear Republic Hop Rod Rye, do it. It is very tasty and cost's about $5 bucks a bomber, well it did a couple of years ago.

One of the people at the liquor store mentioned Bear, but they were sold out. I'll ask again when I go pick up the Pig's Nose. If they don't have the rye, perhaps I'll be able to get the breakfast stout.

I wonder how that frozen chunk of remnant of five gallon jug would react to a 9mm or better a .223.
