Actually the cooking sounds like fun. My son and son in law just stopped by as they are getting ready for " crab season" ( commercial) here on the OR coast. I showed them my latest " scrappers" and they were IMPRESSED !! I guess they will be out on the ocean for T-Day so will sure miss them. Both are great kids and we surely worry about them but they are tough puppies. We are grateful that they have work this year but it is a dangerous job in my opinion. It will still be great having all the others around and also the grand kids. Man- I am lousy at this typing but enjoy visiting with you folks. Hope you have a great day coming up also with family and friends !

how do I get some crab from them?! (I'm near Rainier)
or even where do I go and buy some fresh right from the boat?
Sorry about that !! They will be opening 12-1 but will place pots T-Day night. Their first pull is hard to tell but shortly thereafter depending on soak conditions. I will find out price and where they are going to be and PM you if you want ? Price for consumers looks good this year and I might be able to get you some decent sized bugs. I didn't spot your post until a few minutes ago- this forum stuff is all new to this old guy. Let me know. Thank You

Congrats Jim!
Big step for any dog.

I got my surefire E2L yeaterday, ma the sucked it bright.
Right now I am putting together my hunting kit, baseing it around my camelback chaos.
I will of course have my CE hell razor in my custom rig as my main blade, a wetterlings hunters axe on the camelback, a case orange g-10 hunter trapper on my sheath rig, and a sog power lock(just incase my bike takes a dump) in my camelback.

I will be taking my usual amount of pictures.

mac,

one thing i have learned..the led lights are bright as all get out up close...but they dont "throw" the beam as far as a regular incandescant light..

just my observations

I'm checking back in; it appears Mag made a bit of a joke in my absence. I added a basic signature line indicating my JYD status. Perhaps something more profound will occur to me later. I find myself hoping that I'll get the #60 SoD that I requested, but I really don't want to set myself up for disappointment, so I need to stop that and just be pleasantly surprised if it happens.

I made a lot of progress on my programming project at work today; it's not quite done, but is very close and I shouldn't have any problems getting it into TEST tomorrow. I considered staying late again, but I've been doing that frequently, and it never translates to being able to leave early once the project wraps up. Instead it's the old adage about the reward for good work being more work.

I saw that BladeForums is down for maintenance. A post was made about it a few days ago, but they didn't seem to know exactly when it would happen.

I'm pretty impressed with it so far.
I have been beaming out houses across the street pretty good.

I will have to test it hunting this season and report back.
