Momaw,

I always enjoy ice formations, and the "contour line" type is among my favorites. Here's one of mine:

Evolute, ice is indeed very cool. I pity those who live too far into the tropics that they don't get to enjoy its mysteries. But then, such people probably pity me for having to endure all the ice and snow, so it balances out.

Kenken, there are a few cars in some Dogs Avitars so there looks to be a few car lovers...I have had some "notables" but discovered I was most happy being "practical" as the expensive ones depreciated too much....enough to make one hell of a knife collection...plus my finances got shattered in a divorce...pre the divorce though I had some nice ones...my last and favourite was a DB7.

There are basically several different setup when it comes to cars.

FF, or front engine front wheel drive. Sadly most cars are made this way now. It is simple to the point. Cost of manufacture is probably the cheapest too. The front wheels are doing both the steering and the "pulling". Rear wheels are just there not steering and not "pulling or pushing" at all.

FR, or front engine rear wheel drive. A drive-shaft that connects to the transmission goes to the back and power the rear wheels. Good from a performance standpoint because under heavy acceleration most of the car's weigh will be shift to the rear. Front wheels are doing the steering, back wheel doing the "pushing" every wheel is always doing "something"

MR, or mid engine rear wheel drive. this one go further compare to FR setup. the engine is in the back so most weigh will be around the rear to begin with.

AWD, or All wheel drive. Engine is usually in the front but it powers all 4 wheels all the time. Imagine it being FF and FR combination. Very useful in heavy rain/snow since those are less-than-perfect situation for your car's tires. Downside of this setup is that AWD cars are almost always heavier and there are always more moving parts compare to FF and FR set up.

4WD, or 4 wheel drive. In American this pretty much refer to a part-time 4wd system. User can switch to 2wd and back to 4wd. I have never own a car with this setup so I cannot comment on it...

Not the best write up but it gives a general idea of what everything is
