evo i just saw in the latest issue of natgeo an ad from Energizer for a photo contest....guess what the winning photo was?......it was the valley of the gates (i think thats what its called) from just about the SAME angle as yours along the merced river...i must say though yours was much better. i love your thread in the outdoors forum. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/bowdown.gif" alt="" />

did that have the optic viewfinder too? i dont really like lcds, although they are good for playback.

The 560 has an optic viewer, but they're tricky to use on these cameras. Sometimes things don't line up like they appear to in the optical viewfinder.
The optical VF is good on bright days though, as the LCD can was out pretty easily when it's bright.

very true, plus you save a ton of juice...i remember that was a selling point on the powershots at least for my CC
