What type of rifle comps do you do?
The one we're doing this weekend is a military style rifle match.
Shooting with open sights at 8" x 11" steel plates at 200 and 300 yds.
One leg is the drop 8, where a single shooter has to drop 8 plates in the shortest amount of time.
Next leg is the team event, where 3 shooters drop 16 plates against the clock.
There's a vintage bolt action round with 4 plates.
A standing leg with 3 plates.
Then we move back to 300 for sudden death. You get 2 shots to drop a plate. If someone hits in one round, then you only get one shot. Everyone hitting advances, until one is left standing.
I also shoot highpower on occasion, Service Rifle and John C. Garand matches too.
I'm not great, but I usually will finish in the upper 25%. With my eyes, I'll take that <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />
