Ok, I had to ask my wife what these were....she's the biologist I understand now. Oh, my... So many shots from today to deal with... Cooper's chiton, lined chiton, six rayed star, sun star, knobby star, turban snail, rockfish, clapper rail... the list is endless.

maybe an O ring at one end (or both) and a carabiner then u can use the biner like the buckle locked inbetween weves
