mike, will there be any left over to make a set of 1911 handles? Maybe some really thin ones. I'll do my best to maximize it.

Tolly - think you will go for one of Jerry's new knives, or wait to see what the Swamp has, or both?!? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

mike, will there be any left over to make a set of 1911 handles? It's a hair less than 1" thick and my 1911 scales are 1/4" thk each and I'd probably use 1/4" scales. With three cuts of about 1/16", it only leaves about 5/16" left before sanding.

Tolly, did you hear back about the desert rat? Haven't heard anything yet. Tolly - think you will go for one of Jerry's new knives, or wait to see what the Swamp has, or both?!? I will definitely be picking up the new Swamp Rat unless it is as ridiculous looking as the new Busse. I know, I know, I shouldn't be that harsh on a Busse product here on the Forums, but that new Busse just SCREAMS Mall Ninjas to me. No offense to those of you who like the new Busse

That's some pretty wild grain, Tolly. I've never seen/handled olive.
