poi my ol lady and i did a 2month road trip...cali to the keys and back. when we got back to cali we were supposed to take the ALCAN up and be backcountry ranger assts. but once we made it to alaska we'd be broke. so we deceided to ship the car and buy plane tickets and be broke in hawaii rather than alaska. good thing too! we found out she was hapai and her dad had 2 strokes! so it was good we came to hawaii.

we did end our road trip on kauai...i hiked to kalalau nice place!


steel fan before knives i really had no obsessions. but now my knife obsession is fading. with ordering the S5 i truly do have every knife i need. so i wont be buying any for a while. i always pack light! you should see my camping set up! i think im sub 7lbs now (not counting food/water and clothes worn) for mostly dry areas that dont get below 40.

when we move to vegas we plan on doing more road trips. im already looking at great basin NP website. i like hiking uphill for some reason. also we want to go to yellowstone. really we want to go to more north areas since our road trip was early spring all the north was still snowy. when we were in Bryce canyon NP there was still a LOT of snow...good times! even the grand canyon above 6k ft was snowy in shade areas

i forgot where we stayed but we car camped somewhere where a BUNCH of other ppl car camped. it was only one night...the other night i was at kalalau and she was off somewhere. i must say though swimming with the dolphins was UN FREAKING believable!!!! the pod was like 20 strong!!! i even met a guy i worked with on maui. good times on kauai!
