I've got a couple different factory loads to see how it works with them. After that, I'll do some handloading to try and improve things. If nothing seems to work well enough for me, then I'll send it off to the smith!

Yeah, Remy's aren't what they used to be, but they can still be a good rifle. I have been bit by the CZ bug myself. The next bolt gun will be a CZ in the 550 series (.243, 6.5 Swede) or 527 with HS Precision stock (.223 Rem) or a 527 carbine in 7.62x39mm.

I say go for a pistol first, then a 10/22. Just my opinion that it is better to have a pistol at the house and then get the plinker.
