might also try grinding out that guard/choil/indexing groove thing. just follow the same line as that on the back of the grip until you reach the choil and that may give you enough handle.

yeah, Ban said to do that. I wasn't sure what I wanted to do with that small one yet, which is why I didn't heat treat with the others. I decided to hang on to it as a template for my larger one and think about it later.

What's the practical diff between the CZ 452 and 453?

452 is a regular trigger and the 453 is a set trigger

don't sharpen it. etch "MRpink" into it and wear it on a beaded chain like a dog tag.

haha, right on! I'm sick of using my hacksaw and files right now. I need some power tools, but I don't plan on making more knives like this for a while. At the time, I just bought my sander and was all excited to use up all 36" of steel.

Hahah, I was thinking of giving to someone with tiny hands, but your idea is way better. That was the second knife I grinded so the plunge line wasn't great anyways.

mcjh, it took me a while to realize you were talkin about the blade and not the brick and clamps.

i hardened that golok, but never put a handle on or tested it. still not sharp, either.

I think you mentioned it before, but what steel is that? I'd have a hell of a time putting the primary grind on that. It would take all day and a few belts.
