they need to make more really cool 22s. M4 style, the GSG AK and MP5, and a sig mosquito/p22 that doesn't require minimags. Sig has the SIG522LR coming, and MSRP for $543. Spikes has a nice M4 AR, S&W is supposed to be bringing to the market a M4 AR, Colt is supposed to be bringing a M4 to the market, the guys that make the GSG=5 are supposed to be bringing an AK to the market so there are some on the way.
Then you have Spikes and Model 1 Sales with AR uppers and brls. Kurts Kustom Firearms was doing dedicated brls but he was killed last week in a bike accident, CMMG and Spikes have drop in conversion kits that lend themselves to a 1-12" brl.
I am doing a retroish AR that is a A1 upper with a Kurts brl, 20" pencil brl that has the 1-16" twist. Should be fun and accurate.

The Sig would be a fun one to have. I believe the manufacturers are realizing there is a market for clones in 22lr. It is about the only way we can truly train on a weapon system. It makes it nice to introduce new shooters too.

i'm all over that sig. pretty sure i can't have a folding stock in NJ. Folded the rifle is to short to own in CA. I'm hoping sig does something smart like extending the tip to keep it legal! If it works out, that will likely be my first rifle (or firearm).
