I started re-profiling the edge of my INFIcoot...It looks good but I can't get it shaving sharp...I've given up and am sending it out to Vic next week.

Actually, the dumpster mutt is Ban's work. That frosty finish is his trademark and there's no way I could figure out how to duplicate it, but I am getting better at putting on a nice satin finish. You'll see that when I finish making my knives or strip the SOD (whichever comes first).

Ok, real quick before I cut. How are you re-profiling the edge?

I was using a mousepad and 80 grit sandpaper...I moved up to 220 then to 800

I think the problem is that I'm totally unsure if I'm using a proper angle...I did the pen thing on the edge but don't know if I was still doing it correct lol...I suck!

bet rainwalker could hookup some hotsauce bottle kydex for us...

picture don't really do it justice. The reason we call it frosty is because up close, you really don't see any grind marks, just a smooth matte type finish with sparkles in it. Really cool and nothing like I've seen before.
