Not really. The Dog Father gets the call at the moment but a CG M9 will unseat it if it is ever offered.

come now...there's really no logic in saving on the CG unless you're buying a scrapper, in which case you're still paying more than you need because a $50 ontario will do.
we buy these because ownership is rewarding, and the LE is even more rewarding so just email eric. $250 is a good price. What do you expect a CG to cost?

I agree that $250.00 is a good price for that knife. The CG is more me wanting the extra rust protection. Even that is somewhat of a mute point these days with what I've learned from the Yard about rust prevention and removal <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/blush.gif" alt="" />.

ugh...rust. if tensile strength isn't the most overblown issue in the cutlery world, then rust is.
you're a blade nut anyway. you fondle and love your knives for fun. rust is not an issue.

The M9 is actually closer to what I was looking 18 months ago when I discovered the yard and purchased a Dog Father.
