Well, it raining here in Ontario. Real hardcore with plenty of thunder and lightning. I'm not concerned too much, cause I'm pretty much couch ridden til my body stops hurting. A bunch of us are trying to get in shape for an Iron Man competition that a lot of the military and prison guard personnel do each year. Yesterday, we went for a 13 km ruck march, fully kitted with tac vest, ruck sack, helmet and C7. When that was done, we did the firemans' carry and trench dig. This is the basic test all Canadian Forces Army personnel are expected to do each year. After that, we did a 10 km bike ride, then 50 push ups, then another firemans' carry, then a 12 km run, and finally finished with 50 more pushups. I woke up this morning, feeling pain in my arms and legs! I do not want to move from the couch! I'm feeling half dead, man. I'm 34 years old, and doing this with a bunch of guys in their early 20s; what am I thinking? Funny thing is, for stuff like the biking and running, I'm way ahead of these younger guys.
