pink, is it that you want a sword or you want a waki? unless you wanna bend it, i think any of the swords we've been discussing will do fine.

you should see the way we wail on 2x4s! we built a chopping table with secure clamps to hold 2x4s and we don't hold back one bit when chopping, all the force gets put on the blade. it's not that I don't trust the other swords, I've just had a lot experience with busse swords.

One crazy thing though. I don't think the OEM tire will last 1500 miles. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />

This chipseal is brutal on the rubber, <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />

I'm wearing some michelin pilot power, they were quoted to last about 1500 miles one the front but they are well beyond that (maybe I'm not pushing hard enough..hahah), I do a lot of mountain riding so the wear is even throughout, no flat spots.

PHD in what? Do you want to teach or do research?

not sure. teach, for now.

I was kind of in the same boat, as far as not being sure - the nice thing is, you can switch back and forth. You get a feel for which you like, and what kind of balance you want, and academic jobs run the full gamut from teaching only to research with a bit of teaching on the side. I'm settling into about a 50/50 split, as I enjoy both.

Not enough curves here, but I am working on it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

I have 900 km on my rear right now and I figure it to be 65 - 75% gone. That is about 550 miles. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/eek.gif" alt="" />

I sold my bike - the tires cost more than the whole machine was worth <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/rolleyes.gif" alt="" />

Nothing like riding a bike from 1982 <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" />

A philosophical look at the history of economics?
