So Art, here's a question for you... Without a kitchen, what do you eat man? Seriously. I've never lived in a place without a kitchen, and I think nothing of having a 20 pounds of meat in the freezer, 50 pounds of potatoes, rice and/or pasta, canned and frozen vegetables galore, flour... All the things that you need a kitchen to turn into decent meals. I simply cannot envision meals without the facilities to cook!

You guys are making me smile that I did n't move to Maine, last year, where the only thing colder than the weather is my ex-fiancée's heart.

Once I get my S5, I am going to make my logo a shot of its silhouette against a full moon.

Unless someone has already done something like this.

Yes! I loved your perspective and agree wholeheartedly, Evo.

Well.. this world renowned expert on composition wrote to me about how what I wrote to him made him re-evaluate everything, sent him back to the drawing board, has influenced big changes in his thinking. Then...

Good question Momaw. Cereal with rice milk. I have a mini-fridge. Tuna, cheese, deli meats, a lot of dry goods like granola, surprisingly great way to live for the health conscious! I go to my parents a few times a week for the rice, beans and potatoes bit. Fruits and veggies I get during the work day out on the street. The best thing about Cali is the absolute abundance of fruits and veggies. I can literally go and pick them off the vines, branches, etc. The owners are cool like that.

Evo, you get used to it after a while. At least the US version of "cold", I can't speak for ColdOne's Canadian brand of cold. So long as you have a sensible coat and wear your gloves and hat, it's a rare day that it gets miserably cold in New England (from a New Englander's perspective).

It's actually pretty hilarious to watch the southerners and west coast folks visit here. It'll be a nice autumn day, 55-60, bright sun. Long-sleeves weather to a Yankee. And then you get the leaf-watchers from Florida, and they're wearing their obviously-brand-new goosedown vest and looking sad.

Ah, good times.

Both he and I are members of a private, apid forum for high-end professional photographers. Many of the top most financially successful and artistically successful photographers are members of this forum.

He asked if I would mind if he started a discussion, quoting what i wrote to him, in full. I granted him permission, and he did.

Of course, my ideas are ... unpopular, to say the least. So, for the last two days, I have been buffeted by an onslaught of some of the world's best photographers, interrogating me, grilling me, giving me the third degree, about my views about composition.

It's been a very odd experience.

Chris,

If the weather permits, I will be going to the Lake Tahoe area to photograph a pileated woodpecker nest.

And you?

Neat! I love wood peckers. Such interesting birds. There was a small one who would hit pu the same telephone pole across from my house every day last summer.

I had no idea that you love woodpeckers.

55-60!?! Those are freezing temps Momaw. It's 76f in the Valley right now.

Nice job Evo! It will only make you stronger. Plus, I've seen this mentality before...artist's in the past...hmmmm....
