Just came back from a long walk with my Rottie. Since she ate my loafers, I wore an old pair if Timberline boots. Man, they were comfortaable, if a little heavy. I have a similar pair of Danners that are a little lighter and a pair of jump boots I've had since 1969 that are quite well broken in and comfortable.
Do you guys have a favorite pair od boots? A favorite brand?

My favorites? My genuine Nam issue original green jungle boots. Cool factor of 11 on a scale of 1-10. Users? TAN 5.11 boots, or my Danner go-devils. Daily? Handmade 6" moccassins, by Arrow moccassins. What I wear at base camp, and whenever I am able to.

My Danners have the Gore-Tex lines too. Mine are the older Sharptail model.

I live in Merrell trainers given half a chance, my favorite boots brand are Scarpa (Italian). I have a pair of 2005 SL M3's, those are tough as hell and are finally broken in so now very comfy...
I don't own any Danner's as they are too expensive over here!

Danners are too expensive over here too. Sadly, they seem to be cutting some corners in the construction of their boots. Some can be resoled when necessary and other will have to be deep sixed.

I have a pair of capped toed green upper jungle boots that were custom made while I was stationed in Korea. They're in desperate need of a resole, and the canvas on the tongue is wearing holes in it - but those are the best boots I've ever had.
I've also got a pair of Danner FT Lewis model winter boots that I really like.

Jeeps, I had a pair of Vasque boots too. I slathered some Snow Seal on them and they were impervious to the elements. I wore them for years of winter camping and they were great. My son has them now.
Dan, if I recall correctly, the Danner Ft Lewis boots are made in the USA and are the top of the Danner line.
