compress the wound to stop the bleeding

keep the finger peice you loped off they can do amazing things these days, like perhaps re-attach it.

...and of course tell what you were doing to acomplish this feat.

yes did that, I even added some quikclot(main reason why it burns) but atleast I got to use some of that stuff

well first I will tell you I was being an idiot
I was fliping my griptilian open and was reversing my grip(I have done this 1000 times) and I dropped the blade <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" />
I wasnt paying attention and grabbed at the blade
razor sharp hollow grind vs hand... you do the math
just goes to show that once again the only blades you can trusr are busse's

careful with that quick clot stuff that is designed to clot major holes so you don't bleed out, make sure to remove said quick-clot to avoid burning (unnessiary tissue damage)

I have had runins with hatchets and such that have been worse
