I wouldn't have my Chris Reeves knives but for the fact I was single when I bought what I traded them for. I had a set of large and small Pat Crawford Titanium sharks. A dog in California had the CR knives. I had always wanted to see the CR blades and he wanted to see the Crawfords. We mailed the knives to each other and then decided to just swap.

I just did the opposite sort of
I decided to try out a ka-bar dozier folder, It is orange and cost about $20
Aus 8 steel isn't great, but I just needed to try one out
My usual edc is an endura 4 with the zdp189 blade
I also just bought a g10 police

I started with common knives. Kept moving up. Continued to move up, carried on...discovered the XM. Done for now, it does everything I need it to do.
Well my case traditional folders do everything I need
I am just too much of a cheap blankety blank to spend that much on a folder
The most I ever paid for a folder was $120 for my Spyderco military and the most I have ever paid for a knife is my 1311

Exactly what I'm suggesting when I say "I found what's right for me" or say that "others needs / wants differ from my own".

Haha, one of my favorite knifes is a benchmade vex. I paid 30 or 40 dollars for it and it is my GO TO abuser. The knife that I will use for just about anything.

I knew what you meant and I agree totally
The only reason that I edc a bunch of different knives in rotation is for fun
I carried the same old timer trapper model folder for 15 or 20 years
I just like knives
I bought the g10 police because I like good deals as well

I gifted that skyline I picked up and gave my nephew a cryo- interesting knife there. Seems like a lot of knife for $30! I have a preorder in for a cryo too and bet that will be a good/fun beater.

The cryo does look like a great inexpensive user.

I've been bitten by the traditional bug.
I scored this little Case Peanut made for Ruger not long ago.

And this old Imperial last week end.

Nice ones, Myke.

My ideal traditional would be a single bladed easy open lockback.

The ZT/Kershaw bug hit me. The skylne and cryo are 2 great bangs for the buck, but I'm almost always carrying the 550.

I love my 550 as well so much so I think the rest of my folders will be going on the Bay.
