I'm a fan of nearly all things LaRue so a T1 in their mount is GTG as far as I'm concerned.

I typically run EoTechs on my AR's, but did like the ML2 I had some years ago. Lately I've been considering adding an UltiMAK and T1 to my SLR.

BTW Ish, while I'm not a "sporting rifle" fan the Model Seven I had (in 308) was my favorite. Your mum's Seven in 243 would be even better IMHO.

Yeah...she's a slayer with that thing. My first hunting rifle was a Model 7 in .223 that my father bought for me when I was 9....I will never change it out of original form, but man those Model 7's are itty-bitty small.

BTW...Loving the T-1. I ended up going with the new VFZ, as I do not regularly switch out my optics. It is a fantabulous design. I've already put the M4s up for sale <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />

The chief cause of unhappiness and failure is trading what you want most in life for what you want at the moment.

The diminutive size is what I liked so much about the Seven. I could walk all day with it in hand, and not get fatigued. I actually miss the little guy (even though I have no use for it now). My 308 Seven CDL had factory installed irons - which I very much like on all of my rifles. I don't see many Seven's around, and very few of them had walnut stocks AND sights (the only iron sighted units I've seen have had synthetic furniture). I'm starting to pine a little.

I don't have any first hand experience with the Force Zero mounts, but quite a bit with the LT mounts and sights. Thanks for the T1 VFZ feedback. I've been thinking about putting a small / lightweight RDS for my wife's Colt...and as I mentioned early my SLR.

Love my 600 mohawk in 308, may replace the stock with a synthetic one

Got an early b-day present from the spouse- a Fiddleback Ladyfinger. It's a monster with wood! What a grind! Just used it with food prep with the WD and the WD smoked it! Great knife though. Going to put it up against my HR, S5 and WD soon...

4" blade...thick, tough blade. Best fuzz sticks I've ever done- effortless with wood. Handle isn't loving my hand, but it's early.
