LevelEdge - I feel your pain concerning dial-up - my server only runs at 28.8kps!

Thanks! I love the new ordering system. Being on dial up, waiting to pounce just did not work out.

I'm on dialup too.

I was on a BlackBerry when I learned of the release. Dial-up is way fast compared to EDGE...

Freakin' alternator AND the starter both! Talk about the opposite of 4 leaf clover luck! Aaaargghh!

I'm having my buddy tow it to my home tomorrow, I'm gonna buy the parts refurbished (better warranty on refurbished anyway), and he an I are gonna install them in the truck ourselves. We're both fairly decent with repair work, and worse comes to worse, I've got the Haynes manual as a reference just in case. Fortunately, I own one of the Chev 2000 model S10s with the 4x4 lift, so there's plenty of room to get at the gear underneath. It'll be an interesting Thanksgiving weekend, to say the least!

All in all, I'l probably have to wait til next pay to get just ONE of the two SODs that I wanted to get, either the LE or the Tan.

You know you have about 6 weeks to pay for it, right? You can order now, if you can have all the money then.

Yeah, true.... let's see a Tan, an LE, and S&H is $24.95 to Canada, convert that to Canadian funds, plus add at least $60 in duty to pay at the post office.... that's roughly $411 at todayss exchange rate.

Alright, if they don't pull the money out for 6 weeks, and provided the repairs to the truck don't cost too much, I should hopefully be able to squeeze myself the purchase. I'll know for sure once I've got the truck up and running after this weekend. Fingers crossed!

LOL, my truck died as well. The clutch finally went after 250,000 miles and took a few things with it. I parked it in the garage and I'm either riding my bike to work or walking. It's only 5 miles or so. I haven't felt this good in years and I know if I fix the truck I'll stop walking/riding. I may not fix it for awhile, esp. if the Busse family keeps coming out with new knives.

Sadly, I live over 60 kilometers from work, and getting up at say 3 in the morning to bike to work, to do an hour of exercise on top of that at the base, just isn't very appealing right now.... especially with the first signs of winter starting to show.

Plus, deer season is here, and kinda need the truck to get out to the hunting area and also to bring my catch back.
