The new year soon approaches and all eyes are looking towards the next release. I think it's fair to say the Yard has grown in popularity and many are missing out on the first of it's beloved offerings. So...since blades aren't made till you order them, what if all were allowed to order from the entire library?

Of course, the interest rates are at an all time low so more than likely the 'Dawgs' will be refinancing to come up with necessary funds to supply the overwhelming amount of orders!

Only question is how will this work with the new business plan? If at all?

That would be really cool but I hope they wait a little while so I have enough money to buy a copy of each one.

No one said you can't dream.
I believe that eliminates demand and exclusivity, which is a win-win for all of us.

I'm guessing that there is some amount of setup time involved with each production run. Once they start making X, it's easier/cheaper to keep making X because all the jigs are set up and all their tools are at the right settings and suchlike...

Of course I don't know for sure because I've never been into the Scrapyard where the rabid radioactive hellhounds gnaw raw stock into knives.

I kinda like ordering these and waiting. It gives me time to think it over- talk it over and then rejoice in my purchase with great friends.Am slowly building up all the old stock as it comes up at a reasonable rate. I would like it if they had about 7-10 new knifes per year and would allow me to purchase each one. It would also be nice if the Swamp came out with some new stuff - but " hey" - " I hear they have new stuff coming in just two weeks " !!

Hey Rec- the only Swamp I have is a little skelly Swamp Warden. I use it as a necker and Jeff made really nice pants for it. Originaly I was peeking at a little Becker Necker- but this fine piece of 101 was availible and I nabbed it. I can also work up some cordage wraps and is kind of fun to be creative. So far not too good but I'm making progress.I will just hope that the Swamp comes up with a few and SY comes up with a bunch. I just hope any new SY stuff is " fatty/thick" !!Not too long- not too short- just right & THICK

It would be nice to get some of the older models. A re-release would be great so many people who are newcomers missed out on them as well as, well ME I would love to be able to order from the yard, definitely a scrapper 6 and a yard guard.

I would just like to remind folks - especially the newer Dogs - that ScrapYard is a very small company. It takes time to produce those wonderful knives that we all want!

Thanks Tom- yes that is the reality and is much appreciated. It sure makes it " extra sweet" as you sit there holding your new steel when it arrives. To be honest- I mess with my knives daily.
