Just finished a really great historical fiction book on Ghengis Khan and I'd thought this might be a place to recommend it: Wolf of the Plains by Conn Iggulden.
The author seems to paint a good picture of life of the nomadic Mongols. I was about half through it and thought there was no way it was going to be about his whole life when I realized it's one of three in a series. He apparently did a little bit of living with modern day nomads and lists inaccuracies he changed for the sake of the story. I'm no Ghengis or Mongol expert but I found it thoroughly entertaining and can't wait to get my hands on the next in the series.

Thanks for that writeup T, I'm going to check that book out.
Last historical novel I read was on the life of Musashi. It was a great
read, and I read it a couple of times.
