I voted tell me BUT I really just want ANY info, whether pics, specs or just news of a release. I'll just say I will definitely wait around for a scrap yard release but not a busse combat. I have really lost my taste for the busse after reading some of their rules on ordering ganza blades and especially the rules on the over run for the un-named group. No pictures to see it, the buyer can't show pictures to anyone or resale it and has to be known to Jerry. Crazy, I wish I would have known more about them before buying my skinny ash because I never would have bought it no matter how nice it is. Just my opinion, sorry about the rant.

they know we are always dying to know whats down the pipe line so even though for whatever reason it isnt ready to be immediately released renee thought she'd be nice and put an end to our speculation and i appreciate it myself.

lack of info and communication is something that has been bitched about more than once here and i think it would be hypocritical to now discourage that info and communication.

plus,i know for a lot of people it is a big help to get a little heads up about whats next.if i knew scrapyard was releasing their first sword or hatchet next i might not of spent the money i did on a new tad gear jacket for example.

i was wondering what the next busse piece would be and when i saw it and wasnt interested it freed up those funds for other things that much sooner.

it also gives people a chance to maybe save up for the knife.

i'll take any kind of communication and info from the staff at scrapyard i can get.we may not be able to purchase it this very moment but at least the speculation is over for now {except now i wonder whats after the S5...lol}
after every single release someone creates a new thread asking the age old question, "so,whats next"....i know i have.

now with that said i'm also with you guys on not dragging it on too long and i cant stand it when we get pics of knives and then they are never released like the buss'muk for example although i cant remember scrapyard themselves doing that.

i just want to know what the difference is going to be between the S5 and D'MUTT.

i think it would be best to be thinner like the HRLM & RMD or what would be the difference other than the likely full flat grind.

i'm real curious to see it but between my HRLM,RMD,CGDM & BRAVO-1 i dont really NEED another similar sized blade although if i wasnt broke i'd buy it anyways.

I have a feeling that if they know it is going to be a 5" blade, they already know what the design is...they proably already have a prototype....I think they are just torchering us.

I don't know what is to be gained by the message without the picture. Some folks will by it regardless. Some folks might buy it if it fits their need. Some folks might buy it if they like how it looks, and some folks might buy it if they have the money....but these folks might also take their money and spend it elsewhere if they do not enough information to decide on buying the Scap Yard knife. The M9 seems to be suffering some losses of late due to the wait...and poor communication.

I want to see the knife, the anticipation does nothing for me without a picture or at least some good stats...but that is just me, to each his own.

+1 EXACTLY on ALL counts!

.....and I assure you they have a prototype.

Based on past experiences, I am VERY confident this new Scrap Yard knife (and the Zilla and probably some other stuff...) will be shown at Knob Creek before being shown on the forum.... and honestly, I can't figure out what is possibly gained by that either.

Hence the reason for the poll. KG. Whether or not anything changes, at least it gives us an opportunity to let the powers that be know where we stand. Apparently, most of us stand on the side of "show me, don't tell me". And that comes as absolutely no surprise to me.

I totally agree with the poll letting Dan know how we all feel. I also have to say in these cases "No news is good news" does not apply. Since I didn't get the MUK I was really wondering what and when the next offering was coming and now I know something is on the way. I think most of us and especially the newbies will be waiting this one out.

Hopefully the S5 announcement will follow that trend.
I hope so too! Soon is never fast enough...
