As many of you know, my brother and I are chipping in to buy a Swamp Rat M6 for a buddy of ours who's heading to A-Stan in a few weeks. It arrived today. This is a piece of quality gear. I almost wish I didn't have to give it away. The sheath was a bit tight when it arrived... very difficult to pull the knife out. I took out the kydex insert, left the knife in it, and heated it with a blow dryer. After a couple of minutes, it is perfect. It's still snug, which is good, but it's drawable now. Anyway, here's the obligatory pics, and 1 post closer to JYD for myself:

Good deal. I have an M6 in a sheath just like that one. The M6 is a tank of a knife, suitable for the demanding uses soldiers may put their knives to. It will serve him well. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.

It definitely feels like a tank of a knife! I'm impressed with it. I am quite sure it could take ANY abuse he might throw at it. It fits well in the hand, too.

That's a very cool thing you are doing. If it needs a good sharpening before or after, shoot me a PM.
