Thanks for the heads up, but I actually picked up a mud puppy yesterday, and am not even sure if I'm gonna keep it. I really dig the high street and vex I snagged.

Edit: and if by good price you mean "40 bucks more than I spent for a new one at BLADE yesterday" then yeah it's a good price

Hey MM- hold onto it for awhile as the MPLE and BDLE really grow on you. I am going to pick up another BDLE as they are just awesome to use

They had satin BD's with black handles at BLADE - very cool

If I didn't already have a BDLE, I would have grabbed it.

At those prices I would have grabbed the BDLEs. They are a knife you will actually USE. If you look at the whole series of mudders in 154- and now the S 5s in 101- they are simply awesome. The glamorous big [censored] blades are OK and the pretty stuff is cool- but the BDLE is in a league all by itself like the Muk. You will also get attached to your MPLE. 154 in that size of blade is fantastic

With as much money as I spent, I wasn't really into the idea of buying duplicates, or I might have grabbed a second BDLE. Variety is the spice of life... I just wish they had some Muks.

Yah- that money thing can be a problem fer sure. I think the Muks sold far better than ever expected. Is a great blade and sooner or later you will land one. I do have some duplicates of most everything as I use many knives for gifts for family- my employees and friends. The new S5s are going to make excellent gifts. That is one to stock up on- but I am keeping one full set for myself. If ya think these production knives are expensive- wait until you start having customs made-Good Gawd

I will agree, I just got me a BDLE thanks to a member here. I have not got to use it yet, but I will. I love the design, as I have an Emerson Persian folder and love the blade.

Also thanks to another member I will have a MPLE before long. I think it will get used more than I originally thought.

My MUK, love that thing.

I like my Mudpuppy and hate that I skipped the Bird Dog... I am sure I will get around to getting on someday.
