the EAGLE 3-day is a classic and a great pack and great value.i've got the large 3-day and its a bit big.just go with the regular sized 3-day.

a little better imo is BATTLELAB's 3-day.i can never get enough of this pack.quite a bit more re-enforced than anyone elses packs.i've got or had spec-ops,blackhawk,kifaru,camelbak,maxpedition,eagle,csm and the battlelab pack is way more over built.here it is.

my spec-ops brand pack is wearing out kind of quickly but its a nice pack.

I like the Maxpeditions or the Diamondback Tactical 3 day. For the Max-P's, I think it comes down to the size you want. I like the Condor but have heard that it is small. I think the Falcon is nice and it is the largest of the Max-P's.

Good luck!

No Kifaru fans?

www.kifaru.net.

They are expensive, but they will last you a lifetime - and maybe your grandkids life time, eventually.
Have a look at their forums for feedback.

They don't really have a pack with internal organisation per se, but they do have panel loader packs with internal molle as well as external so you can create your own internal org - they also sell internal and external pockets to help you do this. (they also have non panel packs).

I have a navigator ( https://www.kifaru.net/navigator.html ) and it is the most comfortable pack I've worn under real load (e.g. 30+kg).
I'd say the size range of the packs you list above would probaby be a Marauder ( https://www.kifaru.net/marauder.html ).

But again, be prepared to fall off your chair when you see the price.

Or the AG1 which is a more modular Navigator (you can put a different bag or a cargo hauler on the frame)
https://www.kifaru.net/AG_1.html

If you're willing to buy non US we have some local companies who suppy the Australian army and some units of the British army who have some nice quality packs.
nNot kifaru quality but still as good as the sorts of companies you have listed above, e.g. blackhawk, camelback, spec ops etc. Definitely milspec.
Then again they are priced more reasonably and for you even more so as the exchange rate works for you.

Platatac:
I have on of these:

I have the tropical SPUR (it has a light frame to keep the pack off your back for ventilation)
It's pretty good for the money, and offers quite a bit of organisation.
I use it for work - laptop, cables, more cables, some tools etc and some necessaries.

I've had 3 Kifaru packs and they are very nice. They don't have the warranty that Badlands does. They do have alot more options though.

They are very expensive.

I'll say this about that..1st Depending on size...and money..Maxpedition is THE stuff...have several. The Condor is a bit small for 3+ days out and about..good for EDC though...the Vulture is a little big for my use...so the Blackhawk 3day assault works best for me...not enough internal pockets though. Kifaru ,Diamondback , TagGear ,BattleLab are excellent packs though a bit pricy. Eagle is Very good and been around forever , but still for the money Blackhawk has endured my many deployment with great durability. As in the gun and knife world...pick yer favorite , and pay your money....oh stay clear of the 5.11...unless your going to school.

I haven't put my Eagle Molle III through any sort of torture yet but it appears to be very rugged and definitely comfortable to wear.

I am having trouble deciding on a back pack to get. I am currently on the Maxpeditions because I like their looks and they seem to have a good reputation. I also like the holster I can add for carrying my handgun. Price is also a factor here.

Is there any reason I shouldn't get a Maxpedition Falcon II or Vulture II?

It will be primarily for single day hikes but also possible 2-3 day hike and camp trips.

Thanks.
