Hey guys. I just finished making/profiling my second knife and I think it is ready to send off for heat treat. It's made from 1/8" D-2 steel (Full convex grind). I am making it for my Father for his B-Day...but I'm thinking i want to make one for myself next. I like how it feels so far (and that's before the handles go on). Here are some pics:
Very nice. I love the shape of it and D2 is a great choice for that size blade. Are you going to give it the sub-zero treatment?

Ok guys, need some help.
Sleeping bag.
I'm getting a headache looking at all my options.
I just need one that is rated +10 or colder, light, and long... oh, and not too expensive.
Easy, right?

I'm not sure what model it is but I love my Marmot bag. It's down, roomy, light, and warm.

I lucked out several months ago and found a US extreme cold weather sleeping bag at Goodwill for $3. Friday I also found a med OD ALICE pack with frame for $5.

The down are always a little pricier but really comfortable.
Any new projects Snotpig?

Any new projects Snotpig? I'm a fan of down. I've also got a NF cat's meow - synthetic. It's ok, but it's a little small for me - 5'11" - 180. I just finished refurbing a trailer to haul my tractor on, and I have a few hatchets to heat treat. Other than that, werk, werk, werk.

Yeah, the shorter bags bother me too. 6' 170.
Are those Snatchet's you're working on? Ever thought about making a sword?
