I must've missed that movie, whatever it was.

Doesn't sound familiar.

A lot of my customer fail to actually look at things. When I say "look" I mean try to have a good understanding of what's in front of your eyes. Too many times they think they already know what's there and how it works.

It sounds like some of those guys must take a lot of pictures without ever understanding why. If they really looked a things they should see the possibilities.

I'll try to be fairly PC in my comments, but – when people are just trying to make pictures look pretty or striking, instead of making images which commmunicate meaning (as in the big brouhaha I got in, a few months ago), and/or if they believe there is nothing original left to photograph – I think that speaks for itself.

I'd like to imagine that it would be worthwhile.

If you do, I'd like to hear what you think of them.

I don't think I've actuall seen Unforgiven either. I've always wanted to but just never have. Butni also forget titles and actors. I had seen BlackHawk Down two or three times and never remembered that it was that movie. And I really like'that movie...

I think there are two types of photography
The first is a simple recreation or record of what you see
The second is art where you are trying to elicit something from your viewer.

It is perhaps worth noting that both of these arguments occurred in a private forum I belong to for professionals. Some of the most financially successful and most acclaimed photographers around butted heads with me in these arguments.

People say that there is nothing new to be done in music. As you pointed out... Just because most people are too lazy, uncreative, and uninspired doesn't mean everybody is and will be.

I won't keep going. I have had a few similar conversations before and some people will never get it.
