i like the savage 93r17 a lot. Mine is the cheapest one they make with a crappy Tasco scope that came on it... Shoots dime size groups off a truck hood from 100 yds. Impressive.

Still trying to decide on a .308 to pick up. A guy i know showed up with a new Mossberg Atr100 that he picked up for $300 with the scope. I figure that's not bad for a plinker. Maybe with some trigger time I can think about a upgrade. Get a Remington 700 cant go wrong the VTR is still high in my list but I'm hoping to squeeze a few in this year. I'm pretty sold on a Bersa UC so that's tapping my gun funds. Pretty much the only compact that feels right in my hands and the controls are very similar to my FNP45. I could chunk the bersa and go for the VTR or get a ATR and he Bersa and just shoot for the VTR in 2010 when I might acutually have time to enjoy it.
