Certainly would be appreciated but I am guessing a Boss Streets is not going to be one of the blades that people will likely sell anytime soon.

Are you an inducted Hog or Dog? The BOSS Streets are only being sold to those who are inducted, with a strict agreement to not re-sell or even share pictures.

Are those both yours Andy? If so, or perhaps you, or someone else, just knows, if the thumb safety is designed to be engaged with the hammer down? I have seen a video review of that firearm where the reviewer was able to engage and disengage the thumb safety without the hammer being cocked and am wondering if that is the cause of the recall. Sig's website does not specify either way, or at least did not the last time I looked.

Yeah, I know about the resell agreement. On the dancing post on bladeforum it is at least implied that this does not apply to proxy buying as the agreement is supposed to be forwarded to the person ultimately paying for the knife and then returned to busse. As with other things, I certainly could be wrong. I am also under the impressions that ones 'Dog' status has no ability to allow them to do Hog only purchasing.

There are two kinds of Dog status - Junk Yard Dog, which is post count based, and inducted Dogs, which happens at the induction dinner at BLADE.

They also do online inductions of HOGS, but basically unless you have a HOG or DOG name given to you by Jerry or Dan, they won't let you buy the BOSS Streets, even through a proxy.


I actually asked Amy-O to give me an online induction specifically so I would qualify for the Blade West Double Cut BOSS Street. I got the name Mustard Ham a few days before the show and was able to snag the knife.


It's a lot of hoops to jump through for a piece of steel, that's for sure.
