Thanks guys. It took me all afternoon in 95F heat. If they offer a Limited Edition with a full convex zero edge, I know it will be expensive. So maybe I saved a few bucks. I just think that swords should be bare steel.

Is it just me or does that hamon line look like it almost reaches the spine? I have tried, but I just can't find the hamon line for certain. Maybe if I polish the blade some more it will show itself.

Here's the second picture HD posted, you can see the machining marks. Also, all the swamp rat hamons I've seen are straight/linear, not wavy or clay applied like that picture you posted. different types of hamons: http://www.chenessinc.com/hamon.htm
