You don't see a whole lot of those ECS1 made Freddy Vs. Jason rounded tip machete replicas anymore.

Yeah, I was checking out the black one in your photo with the axe at the bottom of your original post.
Nice piece.

You know about that The guy who made its name was "maggot" something. I would appreciate a rundown of info you have because I honestly don't know anything but how much it cost. Man you guys are really knowlegable. Oh yeah here is one of my old mockups for what the kit might look like finished behind glass of course

Axes and shotguns are where it at when it comes to zombies.

Swords and khukuris are nothing to sneer at either.

I'm fairly certain that the guy who made that particular blade in your bottom pic was called "Mega" and ran an online horror movie prop reproduction site called East Coast Studio 1 up until early 2007.
They were generally produced from a hard aluminum alloy (custom versions were made from spring steel) and were meant to replicate the oversized machetes used in the movie "Freddy Vs. Jason".
They originally sold for $160.00.
There were several prop makers producing them at the time, some better than others but that looks exactly like one from ECS1, which were considered worldwide to be the most accurate to the film used blades. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

That is the trainer in the photo, but I also have the Carbon V version. I really like it. The only thing I would change is to have a Res-C handle or micarta.

Yeah not a fan of the handle myself either. I have a SRK and that material is awesome. I was really surprised by how light it is. and Actually not a big fan of that. that coupled with the handle makes it feel a little cheap. But like I said the SRK is Cool. That being said I can't Wait for my first Scrap yard knife!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
