I hate to admit it but I have small hands, with stubby fingers, and the Regulator handles work great for me.

Anyone with smaller hands have any feedback on the regulators handle? I worry it will be big for me...I can use the yard keeper/howling rat handles no problem if that helps indicate hand size

As DeNiro said in Raging Bull "I got hands like a little girl". Not quite, but my hands are smaller than average for a guy, and they seem about equal to the above-average female hands that i have had the pleasure of holding. And before the jokes start i have size 13 shoes, just to avert any adult comedy. Not that it would be allowed on this forum anyway... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/footinmouth.gif" alt="" />

Before i dig myself any deeper, let me just say that the Regulator handle fits my hands PERFECTLY, and my glove size is "small", sometimes "medium" depending on the type. It's absolutely my favorite handle on any knife i own, which previously would have been the Cold Steel Recon Scout and Trailmaster handles, as well as the Busse Basic and the other Res-C handles from Bussekin knives (i think there's a smaller and a larger size Res-C, but i don't notice the dfference between the two during use).
And i do find some handles too large for me, such as the Becker handles (which is unfortunate - i like the knives), KaBar Heavy Bowie handles (way too big for me) and a custom Ranger where the original owner requested 3/8" thick slabs (i mean scales - no, i mean slabs). I can hold those fat handles, but they are not as comfortable and secure as most knives are for me.
The thing about the Regulator handle is that its hour-glass shape is kind of like the aforementioned Cold Steel handles, which come to think of it are sort of the opposite of most coke-bottle shaped handles. Instead of the status quo, the Reg handle is thinnest where the hand naturally fits, and the flared ends seem to "lock" the hand in. Add to that the naturally grippy texture of Res-C making for a very, VERY secure grip. And very intuitive and sensible, even though it's very unusual. This kind of thing is what i love most about Bussekin knives is that they don't seem to have any problem completely changing things, taking design risks to improve function.
So there's just one opinion from a small-handed dude. I hope that helps some. Enjoy...

Ashes to ashes, dust to dust, if you don't take it out and use it, it's going to rust.

If anyone has ever felt that the handle on a baseball bat was too fat then a Regulator is not for you.

My point is, anyone can handle a baseball bat. The handle size on a bat stays the same, only the weight changes (for adults). I have fairly small but robust hands (sausage fingers) and the Regulator fits me perfectly no matter how I hold it.

Even the Magilla Gorilla types and anyone just short of a small child should have no problem handling a Regulator. Don't miss out on this one.
