Got my Regulator today and it really exceeds my expectations. This knife is so bad to the bone I swear "Welcome to the jungle" started playing when I opened the box it came in. Anyways I'm having an issue with the sheath. No matter how hard I try I cant get the top retention strap to snap shut. The lower strap is also really tight but it can be snapped it you try really hard. Anyone else have this problem? Quick snapshot of my S5 and Regulator!

Mine was definitely a challenge, but they break in quick. That being said the straps are borderline too snug, but they get easier once you figure how to manage em. I still occasionally have difficulty with the top strap too.
This sounds silly and I'm sure you've tried it but make sure the handle is all the way as flush up againt the sheath as it will go, and tug on both sides of the retention strap to almost make the top portion of the sheath begin to fold "around" the handle. If that doesn't work well...slice em off. I think it'll probably hold just fine with just one retention sheath in normal everyday use.
Great pic btw

I was having the same problem with my bottom strap on one of my sheaths (haven't tried to other two) I ended up pushing and pulling the strap and making sure male and female snaps were lined up. It took a few tries but is working now.
You may also want to snap and unsnap the strap with no knife to loosen things up.
Nice pic too.

I had that problem at first but the more you use it the looser it gets...

Thanks guys. I'll just play with the sheath for a while. I'll probably end up taking the top strap off because its overkill for my use anyways.
Of course I need to study tonight and this slick blade had to show up today!

Try laying it on a flat surface and snapping it together without the knife in the sheath...do it several times to see if it does not work itself in... But only do this after you have your studying completed Dan

Hey RMC, hope you don't mind me asking, what part of Florida are you in? I ask cause before I saw your location, you pic reminded me of North Florida, Gainesville area.

Other than the unbroken-in snaps/straps, this is a class A sheath. If I had to guess, I'd say they were made either by Spec-Ops or someone who made sheaths for Spec-Ops. They are the old-style sheaths with the full MOLLE back. I likey!
